Homemade Halloween Treats šŸŽƒšŸ‘©ā€šŸ³

Let's be real, baking takes a lot of time and energy. I'm all for fun homemade desserts but sometimes I really don't feel like putting in the effort--LOL. If you relate to that, I have some homemade Halloween treat recipes that require little time and minimal baking skills. Don't let the instructions scare you, I promise its all treats & no tricks here!



Witches Fingers


What you need:

Pretzel rods

Melting chocolates

Green food coloring

Slivered almonds


How to do it:

  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place to the side

  • Microwave 1 1/2 cup of white melting chocolates

  • Mix in 3 drops of green food coloring (or until desired color)

  • Dip pretzel rods in chocolate & coat to your liking

  • Add almond sliver finger nail before cooling

  • Place on covered baking sheet and let set for 5 mins


Spider Cookies


What you need:

Chocolate chip cookie dough

Mini Reese cups

Frosting

Red + Yellow + Blue = Black food coloring


How to do it:

  • Place cookie dough on baking sheet

  • Follow baking instructions on cookie dough package

  • Once baked, top your cookies with a reese cup before completely cooled

  • Let cool for 10 mins

  • Mix food coloring with frosting or use black frosting

  • Fill piping bag with frosting

  • Decorate your spiders & enjoy!


Autumn Spice Cake Balls


What you need:

Betty Crocker spice cake mix

Butter cream frosting

Melting chocolates

Red + Yellow = Orange food coloring


How to do it:

  • Follow instructions on cake mix packaging

  • Once baked, refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight

  • Fill a large bowl with 1/2 container of buttercream frosting

  • After cooled, crumble cake into the frosting and mix until a smooth consistency

  • Scoop out cake mixture and shape into balls

  • Refrigerate cake balls for at least 1 hour or overnight

  • After cooled, removed cake balls and gently press a tooth pick or straw along the outside of the ballā€”replicating divets in a pumpkin!

  • Microwave 1 1/2 cups of white melting chocolate

  • Add red + yellow food coloring to melted chocolate

  • Fill piping bag with chocolate

  • Decorate your cake balls & let sit for 5min



Cobweb Krispies


What you need:

Rice Krispie cereal

Mini marshmallows

Salted butter

Vanilla extract

Melting chocolates


How to do it:

  • Line a square baking tin with parchment paper and set aside

  • Melt 6 tbs of salted butter in a large sauce pan

  • Once melted, add in 5 cups of mini marshmallows and stir occasionally

  • After your marshmallows melt, remove pan from heat

  • Add in 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Add in 6 cups of Rice Krispies

  • Add in 1 cup of mini marshmallows

  • Stir until krispies are completely coated

  • Pour mixture into parchment lined pan and press gently to mold

  • Refrigerate for 1 hour

  • After cooling, cut your Krispies into squares

  • Microwave 1 1/2 cup of white melting chocolates

  • Fill piping bag with chocolate and decorate!
