How to make the Perfect Sangria Pitcher🍹🌞

Hello and happy Easter Sunday! I'm back home celebrating with my family this weekend and it's been so much fun, I miss them already! Spring is one of my favorite times of year—it’s essentially all about new beginnings and fresh starts. I’m not sure how other families celebrate the change of seasons, but mine has always thrown a deck party to ring in the warm weather. We grill-out, make tons of appetizers and host a real Hilton-Schramm deck party! I love trying out new recipes and experimenting with different foods. Since I turned 21, I’ve also been getting into mixed drinks and during quarantine last year I lowkey wanted to be a bartender LOL. Though that phase is over, I still think it’s fun to make drinks for friends and family.

I went to lunch with my parents in Princeton a few weeks ago and we had a delicious red sangria. It didn’t only taste good, it also looked stunning. This inspired me to make my own and I think you should try it out too!

What I used for a pitcher:

1 Bottle of red wine

1 Cup of Brandy

2 Green apples, sliced

2 Oranges, 1 sliced & 1 juiced

1 Lemon, sliced

Optional- sweeten with honey

I let this marinate overnight in the fridge, that way the fruit soaks up all the wine and the flavors can blend together. The great thing about sangria is that you can add pretty much anything to it. Some other fruits I suggest are strawberries, peaches or pineapple. But, again, the combinations are endless.

I hope you try out this recipe for yourself and make sure to tag me on Instagram if you post it! Let me know if you want more quick and easy recipes, I’ve got so many fun appetizer ideas for the summer I’d love to share.
